How To Convince More People To Give Your Facebook Page A Like

By Bob Steele

Do you remember when everyone believed that Facebook was nothing more than just another Myspace? It looked like a fun thing but we figured it would disappear after five minutes? As with anything people believe are passing fancies, everyone is now attempting to get on the train. There are many ways you can market and sell things on Facebook. You have the option of direct advertising but you'll have better luck by creating a "fan" page for your business. The fan pages allow you to make personal connections with everyone and to let people know what's going on in your business. There are many motives for you to create a fan page. It's critical that you manage to convince people to give you "likes" first, though. This is how that can be done.

Did you know that you can use Facebook via text message now? This works well for Internet Marketers who have "real world" contact with their clients and partners as well as Internet contact. People can "like" you automatically by sending "fan yourusernamehere" to the short code from Facebook. The biggest problem with this approach, though, is that you do need a dedicated username and a minimum of twenty five followers for it to be effective. So, why not implement this approach once you have everything you need?

Get a message out to your e-mail subscribers. You need to make sure they are aware of your new Facebook fan page. Include a link in your email and request that people "like" you. You may want to offer them an incentive to do this. You can ask they post comments or even organize a contest. If people like your page and mention the email, you could offer them a freebie. It doesn't have to be big or expensive, something small should be sufficient.

Make certain that you sign all your emails with your Facebook fan page. Considering it contains your contact info and website address, your signature might be getting quite long. Still, one more line of URL for your Facebook page won't take up a whole lot more room. It's a great way to let people know that you use the social media service and that they can like it to show their support. This way you'll be telling every single person with whom you correspond about the page. Some people will "like" you simply because they enjoy doing it!

Any place that allows you to construct a profile should have a link to your Facebook fan page. Ensure you make some meaningful posts and comments now and then because you will only get more "likes" by being a good member of the community. Facebook has quickly become an integral part of our culture. As with many social network companies, Facebook was once thought to be on its way out like MySpace - not anymore! If you want to amount to anything on the Internet, especially if you are an Internet Marketer, a Facebook fan page is something you have to have. Now you know what to do. Get a Facebook fan page and start having people "like" it using the many strategies we have presented. Good luck and may you be profitable!
